We’d like to introduce you to Dave Snyder, a man who has become a beloved part of our Pine Lodge Assisted Living family. Dave has been volunteering with us for several months, and he recently made the decision to move into our community full‑time. He relocated from Michigan to East Texas to be closer to his daughter and family as he bravely faces cancer for the fourth time.

Dave’s illness is now terminal, and his wish is to spend his remaining time in a place where he feels safe, supported, and surrounded by people who care about him. We are honored that he chose Pine Lodge as his home for this chapter of his life.

Because our community is private‑pay, our owners have generously waived most of the costs and fees to make it possible for Dave to live here. Even with this incredible support, there are still ongoing expenses related to his care and daily needs. To give Dave the peace, comfort, and dignity he deserves, we are asking our wonderful community to come together and help lighten this burden for him and his family.
