After Dave's current yellow "airplane ambulance" began to have serious maintenance issues, it seemed apparent he needed to replace it with something more reliable. I then saw and bid on this ambulance at Stokes Auction that I thought would be a good replacement vehicle. I was hoping to then entice Dave to buy it from me at good terms understanding he is not flush with cash. Maybe a "pay-what-he-can" over time and trade some work for it. The idea was to get him the transportation even if it cost me. Dave has done so much and been so giving of his time, tools and expertise to me that I am happy to help where I can.

Now, since I purchased the vehicle, many of you have come forward and contacted me to say you wanted to pitch in because you had similar thoughts as I did and wanted to contribute.

I think it is a wonderful sentiment from everyone and I am happy to turn the keys over to Dave with the expression of everyone's thanks and support for him.

I had the winning bid at $4050. After the fee and the tax and licensing, the final amount I paid was $4800. I was hoping to raise up to $4000 but any amount is more than I planned for.
