Friends & Neighbors,
Our friend and fellow classmate, Dave Hanson, experienced a serious stroke in January and is facing a challenging journey back to the beloved Hanson farm in North Brookfield. We're reaching out to our community and beyond to offer support and help him on this path.
While Dave has shown incredible strength and made progress in regaining some of his abilities during his time in rehabilitation facilities, he still faces significant challenges and has ongoing needs that require financial support.
Our primary goal is to help Dave return to the 3rd generation family farmhouse where he grew up, a place filled with memories and comfort, and where the family still operates a 60-cow dairy farm. There are many expenses associated with his recovery and transition home.
Dave has been a cherished member of the North Brookfield community his entire life. His humorous banter and friendly disposition make him a friend to all he meets. He has actively contributed to the Dairy Industry through his involvement with the Massachusetts Association of Dairy Farmers and his Co-op Agrimark Cabot. He and his wife, Margaret, have always been the first to lend a hand, routinely fundraising for many worthy causes that benefit their community. Now, it is our turn to support them in their time of need.
We humbly ask you to consider making a donation to this GoFundMe campaign. Your generosity, no matter the size, will directly contribute to making Dave's transition back home a reality and will provide crucial support for his ongoing recovery.
Let's come together as the strong and caring community we know we are and help bring Dave home.
