Please join in supporting our dear friend Dave and his family as they face the toughest race of their lives.

Dave has been battling stage 4 colorectal cancer since July 2024. If you know Dave, you know he is one of the most resilient people you will ever meet. He can fix just about anything, make an incredible meal from whatever is in the fridge, and never seems to tire of recreating Elsa storylines with his 4-year-old daughter. Until his diagnosis, Dave was also a pilot—someone who built his life around staying calm under pressure and taking care of the people around him.

Right now, Dave and Kristy are traveling eight hours each way multiple times a month to the Mayo Clinic for treatment. They are also actively pursuing a clinical trial, which means more consultations, coordination, and potentially additional travel as they work to find the best possible next step.

As you can imagine, this journey is demanding in every way, and we would love to surround them with practical support.

This fundraiser is a way for all of us to step in and help carry some of that load. The funds raised will go directly to Dave and his family to help with medical-related expenses, travel, and day-to-day needs—and to allow Kristy the flexibility to step away from work when needed, so she can spend precious time with Dave and their daughter during this season.

It’s important to know that accepting help like this is not easy for Dave and Kristy. They are accustomed to giving, not receiving. This fundraiser exists only because of the love, prayers, and gentle persistence of friends who felt called to care for them in return.
