Dave, our close family friend, was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in September of last year. Though the news was devastating, it became even more difficult when we learned that he was not a candidate for surgery and could only receive palliative care. Despite this, Dave has faced each day with remarkable courage, resilience, and an incredibly positive outlook. He often compares his battle to climbing Mt. Everest and is determined to reach the summit, no matter how steep the climb.

Miraculously, Dave has responded so well to aggressive chemotherapy that he is now a candidate for surgery—a hopeful and unexpected step forward in his fight against cancer. While we are deeply grateful for this progress, the journey has come with a heavy financial burden. The cost of ongoing medical care is overwhelming, and Dave’s physical limitations have forced him to cut back his hours at his practice. As a result, he is facing the possibility of closing his doors, adding even more stress to an already challenging situation. The funds raised will help ease the burden the family is facing with overwhelming medical expenses and the lack of income while Dave is unable to work.
