Most of you already know, but Dave was diagnosed with Muscle Invasive Bladder Cancer (MIBC) in October 2023. He has been fighting the fight since! He has gone through multiple treatment options with no real success and is now considered to have late-stage disease. He is currently participating in a Phase One trial at Emory, and, while this trial brings new hope, it also brings stress as the demands for the trial are more than anticipated. Lots of early mornings, long days, and back-to-back appointments to Atlanta; rinse and repeat every 3 weeks. The costs of medications alone have already been a burden they should not have to experience.
Dave has always been a huge contributor to the family, but has been unable to consistently work since diagnosis. Unfortunately, to make things even worse, Nancy just faced her 2nd layoff in 2 years, leaving them with no constant income.
The family is primarily asking for your thoughts and prayers; however, this fund has been set up for anyone who wishes to contribute financially. Any money raised will be used to directly support Dave and his treatments (gas, hotels, food when at Emory, etc.) and help with basic household expenses while Nancy continues her search for a new job. Relieving some of this financial stress so that they can focus on the time they have together as a family and fighting this battle God has placed in front of them is the #1 priority.
Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble." Matthew 6:34
