I’m writing this for my dear friend Yvonne, who just lost her husband, Dave, far too soon.

Dave was not a loud or outgoing man—he showed his love by working nonstop to provide for his family. He carried that responsibility with quiet strength, and taking care of Yvonne was always his priority. That’s who he was at his core.

Only three months ago, Dave was diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer. In what feels like the blink of an eye, he went from working every day to spending weeks in the hospital, and then coming home on hospice. Yvonne stood by his side through all of it, and then suddenly, he was gone.

Now Yvonne is facing a future she never imagined—grieving the loss of her husband while also facing the reality of losing the family’s breadwinner. Medical bills, funeral expenses, and everyday costs are now hers to carry alone, at a time when her heart is broken.

I’m asking for help to support Yvonne the way Dave always supported her. Any donation, no matter the size, will help lift some of the weight and let her focus on grieving, healing, and finding her footing again.
