Support Dave Woods' Journey to Recovery:

If you know Dave, you know him as the friend who would give you the shirt off of his back anytime you needed it. The friend who is there for you from start to finish. The person always willing to run the extra mile for someone else. His wife Tiffany is equally as compassionate. Their dedication to helping others has been unwavering, from their time serving as combat medics in the military to their transition into the medical field. But now, they find themselves on the other side of the equation, in need of our help.

On Sunday, Dave was in a severe motorcycle accident that left him fighting for his life. He was airlifted to WakeMed where the trauma team worked tirelessly to save him. After hours of an extensive surgery, he was ultimately stabilized and placed in the trauma ICU where he still remains. Thanks to the incredible efforts of the medical team, he's now on the road to recovery. However, the journey ahead will be challenging.

Dave's injuries are severe, including an epidural hematoma, pelvic fracture, spinal compression fracture, and spinal burst fracture with severe canal narrowing. There was a substantial amount of damage to his spinal cord and he has significant loss of function in his lower extremities. At this time, it is impossible to know the lasting effects of his injuries. We are still praying for a complete recovery. Dave's resilience shines through as he makes impressive strides every day, but the road ahead is long.

With Dave unable to work and Tiffany needing to put her PA trauma surgery fellowship on hold to support him, they face mounting medical expenses during this difficult time.
