Dave Dunlap is a dear friend who has shown incredible strength in the face of unimaginable challenges. He is a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle whose family means everything to him. In April 2025, Dave was diagnosed with throat cancer. He bravely underwent an intense surgery in May, followed by a full round of chemotherapy and radiation in August. By November, we were relieved to learn that his throat cancer was gone.

However, just as he was beginning to recover, Dave received the devastating news that he had developed stage 4 metastatic liver cancer.

Determined to fight, Dave entered a clinical trial and began immunotherapy in January 2026. Despite his courage and the best efforts of his medical team, the treatment was not successful. The cancer has grown and multiplied in his liver along with some lymph node and lung nodule concern. On March 4th, 2026, Dave started another round of intense chemotherapy and is continuing immunotherapy. He faces each day with hope and resilience, but the journey is far from over. Dave will need ongoing treatments and support as he battles this relentless disease.
