Dave Brock, also known as DJ Brock, is well-known for his contributions to the community through an initiative he created called The Justice League of Hope. This program aims to bring "unbreakable smiles" to individuals of all ages and genders. Whenever someone needs a pick-me-up, Dave, dressed in various costumes like Spiderman and, more recently, Deadpool, makes it his mission to bring joy to those who need it most.

Dave faced many challenges while growing up. Following in the footsteps of his father, who was a well-known radio personality and a pillar of the community, Dave tried to carve out his own path while honoring his father's legacy. He eventually took on the persona of DJ Brock, becoming a radio personality himself. However, he realized that this role wasn’t his defining path.

Dave has always had a deep passion for comic characters, as he relates to many of them. He found a way to connect with the things he loved: his dad, comic characters, making a difference in the lives of others, and caring for those around him. This is how the Justice League of Hope was formed. For over 20 years, Dave has been spreading “unbreakable smiles” to everyone he meets.

He is known for dressing as comic characters while working as a server at a restaurant. Whether he’s walking into a grocery store, a department store, or simply out on the streets, he seeks out opportunities to bring joy to both kids and adults. Dave embodies the spirit of a superhero, offering warm embraces, kind words, and special attention to those he encounters. He selflessly puts the needs of others before his own.

In the past year, Dave has been facing significant health challenges. Although these issues have been difficult for him, they have been manageable until recently. He was hospitalized due to pneumonia and bronchitis, and during his treatment, doctors discovered that the main valve in his heart is not functioning properly, which led to heart failure. Dave’s body is tired and weak. He is uncertain about where this health complication will leave him. Dave is now waiting to undergo a heart transplant. Currently, he is fighting for his life in a different hospital and state, far away from his family, friends, and community. He is facing this battle alone. For over 20 years, one person has dedicated himself to helping others in their time of need—Dave Brock. Now, he needs our support. I am asking everyone to come together and show him the love and encouragement he has given to countless individuals. Dave is a vital member of the Justice League of Hope, and it’s time for us to remind him that we are here for him, just as he has always been there for us. Let's help him maintain his “unbreakable smile” of hope. Due to the unexpected hospitalization, Dave is in need of immediate help with mounting bills to maintain his livelihood and to have the things he will need to continue his recovery once he is able to come home.
