On the Fourth of July, my father, Dave Bevins, suffered from a stroke. The stroke was located in the center of his brain, called the Basal Ganglia, resulting in the loss of function in the left side of his body. Dad spent 14 days in CVPH with their medical staff undergoing PT and OT to help the function of the left side of his body. He is currently admitted into rehab and is working hard.
As many know, my father has always been a musician. Dad started at a young age in The Chilson Hill Gang with his siblings and my grandparents. Playing music is his identity and always has been and means so much more than a hobby to him. He has won a national resonator guitar award landing him in Nashville with a record deal. The goal that keeps him moving forward and staying positive is to regain his strength to one day play his music again. He has a ways to go to get back to his normal functioning, but is determined to work hard at his goal!
Dad is unable to work at this time and is in need of a few things in his home to make it a safe environment for him, in addition to this dad is unable to work at the moment, he needs to cover his bills. Any help for him would be much appreciated. Dad has helped many and would give anyone the shirt off his back. We're hoping you can help dad with a donation to cover some of the costs of his recovery.
Thank you. ❤️
