On Monday 16th November this year, my amazing dad (Dave) was unfortunately diagnosed with rectal cancer.

Earlier this year on Monday 17th August, just after my parents came back from their weekend away for their wedding anniversary, my dad felt ill and contacted the doctors immediately as he wasn’t at all himself. 

From endlessly begging the doctors and hospitals for someone to see him, he was admitted to hospital and stayed in for 5 nights from the 6th of November.

After 3-4 incredibly long months of waiting for the doctors to refer him, and 4 INCORRECT diagnoses later - the worst outcome occurred and broke our hearts!!

From Day 1 of diagnosis, he remains the most positive, inspiring and most strongest MAN I have ever come across.

We are truly devastated by the outcome, but remaining positive and we know my dad is strong to pull through.

A special mention to all of our family and friends who have supported myself, my dad, my mum and my brother in this difficult time - we cannot appreciate the love and support anymore! 

My dad found a new hobby during Lockdown of walks - therefore, we ask that you join Jenna, Yvette, Dave, Anita, Andy, Courtney, Jess and Brooke in the walk for the 26 mile hike of the Peak District in 12 hours on Saturday 31st July 2021. All money raised will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support. Our target is to raise £1000 but anything over that would be incredible, please give whatever you can and help us to help the charity that needs everyone’s support involving cancer.
