Dave Saitzyk's Accident Recovery Fund

It seems impossible to be writing this...

It hasn't even been two years since the news reported Nikki's car accident. On the night her car was hit at speed on Route 59, Nikki was left with an array of full-body fractures, a totaled vehicle and a long and painful recovery. Nikki escaped with her life, and with my brother Dave by her side, has worked hard since 2022, to restore her physical and emotional health.

And then, the unthinkable happened.

On June 19th, 2024 Dave himself was involved in a major crash. Hit directly on the driver's door of his vehicle, Dave crawled out of the mangled car and was taken to the hospital for urgent medical attention. Even after multiple scans, the full extent of his injuries is still unknown and more results are due in from his neurologist and orthopedic specialist soon. What Dave does know is he's facing a 4-6 week minimum recovery for a severe concussion plus continued neurological testing and treatment. He has suspected tears in muscles and ligaments that run through his hands and arms and is unable to drive or work for the immediate future.

Considering the circumstances of the crash, Dave was lucky in so many ways, but there is nothing lucky about the pain this couple has had to endure... twice. We are reaching out once again to ask friends, family and anyone who has a connection to Dave and Nikki to consider how you can help them manage through another tough time.

Sadly, it will be a while before Dave is back at his job in the hospitality industry, bringing the laughter on the comedy circuit, or hosting his regular trivia nights, but he and Nikki have made it through this before, and with our help, we know they'll make it through again.
