Support Dave and Donna de Waal Malefyt

Our father, Dave de Waal Malefyt was diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer October 24, 2018. This news has made us all look at this man that we call our father, the man we have looked up to our whole life as an example of unconditional love and hard working, as a fighter. He is such a hard worker, working 2, 3 jobs when we were growing up to keep food on the table and the bills paid and never complained. He never complained and when he finally did... our heart aches for the retirement he wished he could have had, time to farm in his garden and raise his chickens. When asked what the one thing he wanted when he was in rehab last month, his response was to go home and work on his farm. He completed several chemo treatments before falling ill to a staph infection caused by his port which turned septic. He spent a week in the ICU on a breathing tube and an additional week in the hospital after coming off the breathing tube. I'm amazed at his strength and his perseverance to overcome this obstacle. He then went on to spend over a month at the Christian Health Care for rehab to help regain some of his strength back. Friday he begins immunotherapy and all we can do is pray that this will help his fight against cancer. Right now my parents need help with food, bills, medical expenses and everything inbetween. My father has not been able to work since he was diagnosed in October. Please, if you are in anyway able to help keep them on their feet during this fight we would greatly appreciate it.
