Dauntless Animal and Wildlife Rescue is being forced to say the words no rescuer ever should:

“We can’t get there.”

Our current transport situation is nonexistent, and costing lives. On Friday, January 23rd, the president and most active transporter, was on the way to the vet with Paige, a small, neglected Shih Tzu to get her eye removed. On the way, someone blew through a stop sign causing her car to be totaled. While insurance figures out their side for a new car and gets her into a rental (which animals aren’t allowed in), animals are waiting in shelters, on roadsides, and in emergency situations — and without a vehicle, we physically cannot reach them.

We decide this cannot happen again and are raising funds for a rescue van. A transport van isn’t a luxury.

It’s the difference between rescue and regret.

This van would allow us to:

Pull animals before euthanasia deadlines

Safely transport injured wildlife and scared pets

Take emergencies instead of turning them away
