On Tuesday morning, I found out that Matt had suffered cardiac arrest suddenly and has been admitted to the ICU. Currently, he is stable, but still very much in critical condition.

If you've ever sat in on a Data Vizards meeting, you'll know how tight-knit the team is and how Matt is a foundational pillar of that culture. He sparks great debates about Raising Canes vs. Chik-fil-a (he's 100% team Chik-fil-a!), he's inspired the team to invest more and started the Data Vizards ETF ($DVIZ), and he's been an integral part of teaching the team about better dashboard UI/UX (crushing it on the New Years Clo$in Eve reporting!). Matt is what makes working together more than a job - he makes it genuinely fun.

The Data Vizards team has banded together to create a GoFundMe page for Matt, his wife Blair, and his 3 kids, and his parents so that folks around the org can also pitch in to assist the SantaMaria family with any extraneous expenses during this difficult time.
