UPDATE as of 11.30.25:

With a gaping hole in our hearts, Dash crossed the rainbow bridge last night. He fought so hard! We fought so hard! We're sad, heartbroken & angry. We're trying to wrap our heads around this and trying to make some sense of this. It just isn't fair. He had his whole life ahead of him still! Rest peacefully my little guy. You will forever be loved and missed with your comical self. You had so much love and cheerfulness in you. You were different, you were special.

Thank you from the bottom of our heart for all the love and support. There aren't enough words to express how grateful we are. Any further contributions will now go towards the expenses incurred.

It is with heartbreak our beloved Dash has been fighting for his life since Tuesday, November 25th. Dash woke up that morning as his normal happy and cheerful self. As the day went by, Dash began showing signs of fatigue and difficulty breathing. After a visit with his primary vet, he was diagnosed with aspiration pneumonia. He was given and sent home with antibiotics. Dashy worsened throughout the night on Tuesday night. After a follow-up call from his primary vets office Wednesday morning, we were asked to take him in again as they were concerned of his condition. During our Wednesday morning visit, his pulse oxygen level was severely low and was immediately placed in an oxygen tank throughout out the day. He still did not improve. Around 4:00 pm on Wednesday, Dash had to be transported to an emergency vet hospital with continued oxygen treatment. Still unresponsive to the oxygen from oxygen tank a decision was made for a more aggressive treatment. He was then placed on a high flow oxygen treatment with tubes into his lungs to deliver stronger and direct oxygen. He started at 85% with the high flow doing the work for him. Over the course of 24-48 hours the doctors have been able to reduce the flow down to 65%. So, there has been improvement, but he is still considered critical. While the current treatment and administered medications are helping, he needs more time. It's become a very slow progress that requires him to be kept under close care for much longer than we initially anticipated. While we have spent thousands upon thousands, we are now at a place to seek financial help out of desperation to be able to continue help Dash fight this fight. Time is of the essence here. He simply needs more time. We, and all of his doctors, are hopeful. He is definitely heading in the right direction. We're at point where we can't just pull the plug and turn our backs on him. We've come this far. However, to go further and give him the additional time he needs to heal, we need help. We understand the holidays are upon us. We also understand people might be going through their own struggles. For anyone who has pets, can understand the cost of unexpected medical emergency treatment. Some of you are not pet people, and that's totally ok. But if you can find it in your heart to contribute even the smallest amount to help Dash, we would forever be grateful. All donations and contributions will be applied directly to his care. This is in addition to what we have paid and anticipate paying. Of course, prayers are welcomed, too. Please pray hard for him! Dash is still only a baby. He is still considered a puppy as he is only 2 years old. Dashes birthday is on December 13th. Let's make sure we can bring Dash home safe and sound to celebrate his 3rd birthday. My poor baby boy, he doesn't deserve this.
