What was supposed to be a joyful, long-awaited family vacation turned into every daughter’s worst nightmare.

After not seeing her family for over a year, Dasha flew to Ukraine, full of excitement to reunite with her loved ones and finally take a family trip to Greece. But while traveling through Romania, tragedy struck — they were involved in a terrible car accident. Dasha’s mother suffered a severe head injury and fell into a coma.

For 29 heartbreaking days, Dasha stayed in Romania completely alone — fighting for her mother’s life side by side with the doctors. Her mother underwent multiple brain surgeries, but despite every effort and every prayer, her condition kept getting worse.

After nearly a month of sleepless nights and endless hope, her mother’s heart could no longer fight. She passed away peacefully — leaving Dasha and her family devastated.

Now Dasha faces not only the unbearable grief of losing her beloved mother, but also overwhelming medical bills and the enormous costs of transporting her mother’s body home to Kyiv, Ukraine.

We are Tatiana and Jana, organizing this fundraiser to support Dasha through this unimaginable tragedy. Dasha is a kind, caring, and generous friend — always the first to help others. Now she needs our help.

No one could ever be prepared for something like this. A month in a foreign hospital, emergency surgeries, ICU care, and now transportation and funeral costs — the expenses have grown to tens of thousands of dollars.
