I am creating this fundraiser for my mother, Elaine Williams, and for myself, Darylrika Bianca Klinglesmith, during the most heartbreaking and life-altering time of my life. On Sunday, August 16, 2026, at about 4 in the morning, my mother was found unconscious on the floor of her home and was admitted to an intensive care unit in California. After several tests, doctors revealed that she had suffered a traumatic stroke that caused bleeding and fluid in two parts of her brain. Because this went untreated for an unknown amount of time, it caused brain damage and left my mother unable to breathe on her own, in an irreversible and permanently incapacitated condition. She is no longer able to show awareness, understanding, or even slight responsiveness.

As Elaine’s only child, I am now carrying the weight of making every decision on my mother’s behalf, carrying out her last wishes, and handling her affairs while also trying to manage my own health, responsibilities, expenses, and daily necessities. On top of that, I am facing burial or cremation arrangements, keepsakes, and remembrances, all while trying to process a loss that has shattered my world. My mother is my best friend, my encourager, and the lady of my life. Without her, I am left to bear this burden alone. Your support will help me handle these urgent responsibilities and give me the strength to keep going through this devastating chapter.
