Support Daryl and Charlie's Fight Against Leukemia

Hi, my name is Erin Olson and I am starting a fundraiser for my brother, Daryl Barton & my nephew, Charlie Barton. After a week or two of suffering from a mysterious illness, Daryl, a single father, took Charlie back to Urgent Care on Sunday, June 9. After a test, he was sent home, then called back to report to the ER. On Daryl's 44th birthday, this past Monday, June 10, they received the unimaginable news that Charlie has T Cell ALL acute leukemia. The first thing Charlie said upon hearing the news was he was sorry he ruined Daryl's birthday.

Charlie, known by his many nicknames: "Char", "Char-les Bar-tone", "Chuckles"...is an energetic, empathetic, competitive and courageous 9-year-old boy who is a huge Minnesota Vikings fan, loves playing baseball and going to the beach with his family.

Charlie is at Albany Medical Center and has already had a bone marrow biopsy, a port for chemotherapy and a spinal tap. He will be at the hospital for the foreseeable future as he faces a difficult treatment journey.

I am raising money to cover medical costs to alleviate the financial strain on Daryl, so he can focus on Charlie's recovery.
