Support Darryl (Lil Man) Hudson Jr. funeral services

On 8/22/2024 I received the phone call that my brother Darryl (Lil Man) Hudson Jr. was in a one on one fight that did not include any weapons. (This information was false!). However, he was sent to an outside medical facility, and I would receive another phone call the following morning, providing me more details on what happened and how the correctional facility would move forward. Around 7am the following morning I received a phone call stating that his health had declined, and he was transferred to another medical facility. At that medical facility he went into cardiac arrest, CPR was administered for 30mins and later that day my brother was confirmed as brain dead with 0% chance of reversibility. Confirmation of this information was provided to us twice, in the afternoon and later that night directly from the doctor in charge. We weren’t provided the information to where my brother was hospitalized until about 2pm that Friday 8/23/24 by a Lieutenant from FSP. Once we arrived at the hospital, we were under strict instructions and rules for what we could and could not do. We could only see my brother for up to an hour, even though were 2hrs away from him, and only 3 people were able to see him. Pictures and facetiming were not allowed. Additional time spent with my brother was not allowed, even though the doctor in charge had no issues with us staying for as long as we needed. The restrictions were all made by FSP. The nurses and doctor assigned were very upset and confused as to why we were treated with so much aggression and limitation.

What we do know is, my brother was not the aggressor, nor did he fight. 5 people were involved in this altercation. He was hit in the head with a weapon while trying to stop a fight. There are many (11) different news stations that have been given false reports and accusations of who my brother was. But if you knew Darryl (Lil Man) Hudson Jr. you would know him to be the class clown, the athlete, the rapper, he loved the kids, giving, caring and always one to try and deescalate a situation.

This entire life-changing event has been a nightmare! Questions as to what really happened to my brother the day of the fight have not been answered. Documentation and video footage has not been provided to us. Last minute changes, reports and updates provided to the media before his family, attitudes and disregards for the loss of our brother, are all that we have received from FSP. There is no justice being served right now for my brother that was under the care of Folsom State Prison. It was their job to protect my brother while he was under their watch, but instead they left my brother lying on the dayroom floor unconscious, bleeding in the brain and out of his mouth.

My brother left behind 2 daughters, 17 and 20 years old. They’ll never be able to receive a call again, let alone see their dad out or behind the jail doors. We need financial help with our brother’s home going, legal fees, and making sure his daughters are taken care of. Legal representation is also needed. Everything counts!!! Please if you have it to give, please do!!! We need JUSTICE, we need PEACE, we need your HELP!

Darryl (Lil Man) Hudson Jr. was always there for anybody that needed him. His voice was one of a kind, his heart was unparalleled and pure, his personality was unmatched and his life is irreplaceable. Without a doubt the name Darryl (Lil Man) Hudson Jr. will be missed beyond measure!!!
