My dad Darryl Eckelstafer was in a severe car accident Friday November 8th. He had severe internal bleeding and he also fractured both of his hips. He was rushed to surgery immediately to stop the internal bleeding. They were able to stop the majority of the bleeding during that surgery but his abdomen was left open as there was also swelling. He was taken back into surgery Saturday morning and they were able to stop the rest of the bleeding and close his abdomen at that time. The plan is to repair his hips Wednesday November 13th. He is still intubated at this time and they are working on pain control. He did have some fluid around his lungs and they are also working on addressing that as well.

My dad is a single father to 3 children under the age of 10 and works full times He does not have disability insurance and we are unsure how long he will be out of work and he will greatly need help with finances so anything helps. Thank you
