Darryl Davis, a single father that worked 7 days, 12 hours as a respiratory therapist, battled with a long-time sickness. Due to his ailments, which included kidney failure, a stroke from clogged carotid arteries, a spinal injury that left him unable to walk, and severe infections, he was released from his duties for those reasons. The long illness exhausted all his insurance and savings and left him in debt and with medical bills. He succumbed to those illnesses on Friday, April 4, 2025.
