Ok folks, my neighbor and friend Darron Burt had a freak accident today, 4-8-26. Both of his ankles were broken by a skid steer bucket, and he’s having surgery on both tomorrow morning. Darron is a local business owner—he runs Twisted Creek Construction and Burt Sand and Gravel. He’s one of those good old country boys who would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it—a dying breed, unfortunately. He’s the type of person who, when you call and need something, is at your door before you even finish the call. Yet, he rarely asks for help when he needs it. Just like now, I reached out to him and asked what I could do, and he said, “Awe, it’ll all be ok.”

Darron isn’t just a business owner; he’s a working owner. He’s out there every day with his crew, busting his tail. Well, that’s not going to be too easy with both ankles busted up and full of pins and bolts. The donations from this fundraiser will be used to help cover Darron’s medical bills and provide some income assistance while he recovers. Anything you can give will be greatly appreciated.
