Since November 2023, my life has been turned upside down by a series of traumatic events. While working as a driver for Uber, I was involved in two separate auto accidents—neither of which were my fault—and became a victim of assault. These incidents left me physically injured, financially devastated, and mentally impacted. To make matters worse, I was terminated by Uber, leaving me without a source of income at a time when I needed it most.

Since the accidents and assault, my medical condition has worsened significantly. I have been diagnosed with multiple chronic conditions including degenerative disc disease in my neck and spinal stenosis, chronic neck and back pain, bilateral carpal tunnel syndrome in both wrists, hand numbness and weakness. I have also been diagnosed with PTSD, anxiety disorder, and major depressive disorder. I have undergone multiple medical procedures including cervical epidural steroid injections, medial branch blocks, ongoing pain management treatment, two surgeries on my right thumb because of the assault, and surgery on my left index finger for trigger finger release.

As a result of these events, I am currently struggling to cover my rent, utilities, and basic living expenses. I have exhausted all means of paying my bills and, without a vehicle, I am unable to seek new employment. The combination of these hardships has made it incredibly difficult to move forward and rebuild my life.
