Darren the good Samaritan that he is stopped to help someone on the side of the freeway. They got the vehicle lifted and he got under it. However, the vehicle didn't hold and rolled off the jack crushing Darren beneath it.

Luckily it kept rolling and he was able to squeeze out. Not without injury. He was taken by ambulance to the hospital and his truck was towed. He begged the officer to bring the truck home but that was not what happened.

For me to get the truck that night would've costed over $600. However I waited for the morning to get it and saved a little.

They are keeping him in the hospital currently. He's gotten staples to his head for the open wound. And several fractured ribs. Luckily no spinal cord injury is found. He can't sit up without excruciating pain.

I have a little townhouse with lots of stairs. There's no elevator. He's not going to be able to work for a little while either. I also have a torn ACL. I can't do much to help him. So it's going to be very rough.

This is going to be a huge financial hardship on him, just for trying to help someone out in need.
