Darren was admitted to the hospital in April and diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor and lung cancer (related to the kidney cancer he previously had). Two weeks later, he was throwing up blood and ended up in the ICU in critical condition. He was eventually transported to an in-patient rehabilitation facility and was doing well but still required oxygen and a lot of assistance. Today, he was rushed to the hospital because he started coughing up blood and is very weak. His need for oxygen has increased significantly. He’s losing blood as his platelets continue to drop and has received many platelet transfusions. There are expenses that Medicare does not cover. We were recently informed he only has a few days to live and will now have final expenses on top of everything else. I (Becky) am still trying to process losing the love of my life. I am still in shock - it happened so fast. Unfortunately, he is not expected to make it to our 1 year anniversary (together over 8 years).

The funds raised will help cover medical bills, home care, transportation costs that Medicare does not cover & final expenses. This support will make a real difference since Darren does not have life insurance. I/We are facing mounting expenses and your help will ease some of the burden during this extremely difficult time.
