Darren is currently in the hospital facing a very serious medical situation. Doctors are working closely with a rheumatology team and are preparing to place a PICC line in order to begin a process that will clean his blood. This treatment separates his blood components — including white blood cells, red blood cells, and plasma — and replaces the plasma after it is filtered. At this time, his medical team believes he may be dealing with a severe autoimmune condition, and they are doing everything they can to stabilize him and find answers.

Darren is a devoted father, and while he and his mother remain by his side in the hospital, life outside those walls hasn’t stopped. Bills are still coming in, and the financial stress is quickly adding up during this already overwhelming time.
