On February 28th, Darren went to the ER after feeling unwell for weeks. Doctors discovered a mass blocking his bowel duct, and he was rushed to Saint Luke’s in Houston. While in the hospital, Darren’s organs began to shut down, and for a time, it seemed like he might not make it. Thanks to the incredible medical team, his organs started functioning again, and after a long, difficult recovery, Darren was finally able to return home and begin treatment.
It took nearly two months of doctor visits and uncertainty before Darren received the diagnosis: stage 4 pancreatic cancer that has already started to spread. He began chemotherapy this month, but the challenges haven’t stopped. Darren lives 80 miles from his treatment center, and the cost of travel, combined with mounting medical bills, has become overwhelming. He is unable to work. Family has been by his side, helping him get to appointments and supporting him as best we can, but the financial strain is growing on Darren.
We’re reaching out to the community for help. Your support would give Darren peace of mind and allow him to focus on his fight against cancer, rather than the stress of bills and daily expenses. Every contribution will go directly toward his medical care, travel for treatment, and essential living costs. Thank you for standing with Darren during this difficult time.
