Hello, my name is Brandy,

I am starting this GoFundMe to help support my husband, Da'Ron Satchell during the most difficult fight of his life.

In August, what began as COVID led to devastating news—we learned that Da’Ron has stage 4 lung cancer.

Shortly after, doctors discovered the cancer had metastasized to his brain. In December, he underwent radiation therapy to treat the brain tumors. Since then, he has faced multiple serious complications, including a pulmonary embolism and most recently pneumonia.

Da’Ron is finally home from the hospital, but his journey is far from over. He must fully recover from pneumonia before he can begin further cancer treatment. He now requires around-the-clock care and is dependent on oxygen.

Da'Ron is the guiding light in our family. He is one of the most amazing fathers, so loving and attentive to our five children, and the most fun-tender loving Grandfather to our 8-year-old grandson and 3-year-old granddaughter.

I honestly couldn't have dreamed up a better husband and partner in life. The joy that he has brought me over the years is immeasurable.

He is a beacon of warmth and positivity with every interaction he makes. He wears a magnetic, beaming smile that lifts the energy in any room. It's impossible not to smile back ! If you know him, you know he's a rare soul-the kind of loyal friend and brother who is truly a blessing. He empowers and inspires everyone he holds dear.

He will never give up his fight to remain on this beautiful earth just to spend another day with his loved ones, to see them grow, and have the opportunity to grow older with us.

In 2021, Da’Ron received a kidney transplant that was selflessly donated by our daughter. Because of this, traditional chemotherapy and immunotherapy are not treatment options, as they would severely damage the transplanted kidney.

We are now in the process of seeking alternative treatment options for his cancer, which has added another layer of medical and financial strain.

I have been by his side as his full-time caregiver, which has required me to take time off work. Unfortunately, I have exhausted all available family leave and have been informed that I must return to work. We are asking for help to cover home health care, medical expenses, alternative cancer treatments, and basic living costs during this critical time.
