Support Darnell’s Unexpected Recovery
Donation protected
As many of you know, Darnell, my brother in law, is currently unable to walk. During this past March, he started to experience numbness in his hands and feet. His family doctor had recommended trying a chiropractor, as the doctor thought his back was out of alignment causing the numbness. After going to the chiropractor he went through physical therapy, but was not having any success. As May and June came and went, he visited the ER several times in pain. They took X-rays but had no diagnosis or cause. At the end of June, the Jones moved from Ohio back to Pennsylvania on a Friday. The very next day, they headed down to NC to go on a beach vacation with their family. Before making it to the beach, they made a quick pit stop because Darnell was having severe back pain. As he was walking around trying to stretch, he ended up collapsing to the ground and was completely numb from the chest down. After an ambulance was called, he was admitted to the ICU for 2 weeks while still in NC. After a few weeks, he was life flighted to Pittsburgh ICU to be closer to his family and for Lucy to go back to work. He had multiple tests done that led doctors to diagnose him with an autoimmune disease. Darnell is currently in rehab, a facility that specializes in spinal injuries, and is pushing himself to get stronger everyday. Since being in Pittsburgh, he has progressed by 57%! Even though he still has a long road ahead with treatments and rehab, the Jones are in good spirits. However, being in the hospital for almost two months, these medical bills are piling up on them. Please, support and prayer for this wonderful loving family! God bless!
