Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters,

I’ve always believed that every action we take, no matter how small, should yield a positive impact—for ourselves and for others. That belief guided me throughout my career as a proud member of the New York City Hospital Police Department.

Becoming a New York Special Officer was the proudest moment of my life. I worked tirelessly to serve my city, climbing the ranks, earning the respect of my department, and dedicating 16 years to the department. As a Lieutenant, I treated everyone—criminals, coworkers, and my community—with respect and compassion. I believed in leading with integrity and kindness, always striving to make a difference.

But life, as we know, is not always fair. A routine doctor’s visit changed everything. Blood tests revealed that my PSA levels were dangerously high, and I was diagnosed with Stage 4 prostate cancer. For Black men, prostate cancer often carries a grim prognosis, and for me, it has been a deeply personal and challenging battle.

This diagnosis forced me to retire from the NYHP, a job I loved like a second family. After 16 years of service, stepping away was heartbreaking, but my health had to take priority. Now, I’m facing mounting medical bills, totaling over $250,000—and rising each week. These are just my deductible and copay costs, and they don’t include everyday living expenses that persist even when illness disrupts everything else.

I’ve always prided myself on being independent, supporting others, and never wasting an opportunity to serve. Asking for help now is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. But I need your help to get through this.

I’m humbly asking for any donation you can provide to help me cover:

• Medical copays and treatments

• Pharmaceutical needs

• Household expenses as I await my retirement benefits
