In Darnell’s third game of the season he suffered a fully ruptured Achilles which has unfortunately ruled him out for the remainder of the season. During this process NHS have diagnosed him but have cancelled 3 appointments for scans and consultations before surgery which leaves Darnell no other option but private. He has been told by multiple doctors if he doesn’t have surgery he will never be able to play football again so the club are raising money for his surgery.

The Achilles surgery is a difficult one in which if the surgery isn’t done within the first two weeks it has a high possibility of him needing an Achilles graft/transplant. His difficulty with the NHS is has now gone past the 2 week mark which makes it all the more important.

Darnell now requires Achilles tendon repair surgery along with a long period of physiotherapy. The surgery alone will cost £7000 with possible rehabilitation costs. This surgery will help Darnell have the best chances possible for getting back out there and back to work.
