Our wonderful friend and colleague, Darlene Erickson, has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. Although this news was unexpected, she and her family remain hopeful and full of faith during this challenging journey. Darlene has always been a beacon of positivity and support for those around her, and now it's our turn to rally around her. We kindly ask you to consider donating to help alleviate some of the financial burdens that come with treatment and support her family during this difficult time. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful impact in their lives. Thank you for your generosity and support. Here is Darlene's message:
Hi friends and family,
I was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer in November 2024. It's been a rough journey so far but God has given me peace and strength through it all. I'm currently at City of Hope in Duarte, CA. My insurance thankfully has been covering the hospital visit but only covers half of any rehab or care after I leave the hospital. They want to send me to a skilled nursing facility soon. I had spine and neck surgery and am working on being able to stand and walk again so I can go home but it's been a slow process.
Any donation you are able to give is a blessing since skilled nursing homes and caregivers are very expensive.
I want to thank all of my family, friends, and neighbors who have been praying and supporting me through this. Robert and Liz for being a huge support and helped me get into City of Hope. My family and friends who have visited me, have been praying for me and even created this page for me. My nephew, Josh, for all of his expertise and support and my neighbors who are eager to support us any way they can. I truly feel blessed to have such wonderful friends and family.
