Help Us Bring Darlene Pierce Closer to Home

On August 14th, 2025, our beloved mother and friend, Darlene Pierce, suffered a sudden and life-threatening brain bleed. She was rushed to Trios Hospital, then life-flighted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for emergency surgery. Since then, it has been a long and uncertain journey—but we finally have hopeful news to share.

Darlene is now awake and following commands.

She has a permanent shunt in place, is breathing through a trach, and is showing signs of meaningful progress every day. Her strength and resilience are nothing short of incredible.

She is now preparing to be moved to a new care facility that will better support her recovery—and most importantly, bring her closer to home. But we’ve hit another roadblock: insurance will not cover the cost of the medical transportation needed to safely transfer her.
