Darla passed away peacefully, but unexpectedly, from complications of her heart condition, and our family is now facing funeral expenses we were not yet prepared for. Because of her Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis and other health conditions, she was unable to qualify for life insurance, leaving the family to cover all costs on our own.
She fought Multiple Sclerosis for 30 years with strength and grace. Even through every hardship, she remained kind, faithful, and generous; the type of person who would give you the shirt off her back without hesitation. She loved Jesus deeply, and she lived her life with compassion, humility, and warmth.
Darla never knew a stranger. She could walk into a room and walk out knowing everyone. People were naturally drawn to her spirit, humor, and kindness.
Darla was a wonderful mother, grandmother, life partner, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to so many. She touched more lives than she ever realized.
We are asking for help so we can give her a respectful and peaceful service. Any amount helps and is truly appreciated.
Any money left over after funeral expenses are paid will be donated to the Illinois Neurological Institute Foundation, which previously assisted with the cost of home renovations for Darla’s needs.
Ending this as Darla would have: God Bless everyone, no matter if you're in a situation to help or not.
