Darla is someone who shows up for everyone around her…a devoted mom, a dedicated lab manager, loyal friend, and a woman whose strength and faith have carried so many people through difficult times. Now, she needs us.

After months of unexplained pain, Darla recently received devastating news: her cancer has returned and she is facing metastatic breast cancer with extensive bone mets.

In the coming weeks, she will undergo diagnostic testing, and decisions involving multiple major surgeries to stabilize her femurs, pelvis, and spine. All critical procedures that will allow her to maintain mobility and continue moving forward. These surgeries are just the beginning of what will be a long and physically demanding recovery.

As she prepares for this, there are real and immediate financial challenges ahead.

Darla is the primary provider for her household and may be out of work for one to three months during recovery. On top of that, there is an insurance gap that will leave significant portions of her medical care and recovery expenses uncovered.

Because the cancer has impacted her mobility, she will also require specialized equipment, to make her home accessible during recovery. These are all to help her stay comfortable, safe, and as mobile as possible during this time.

Between major surgeries, time away from work, specialized equipment needs, and the ongoing costs of supporting her family, the financial burden is substantial.

Our goal is to raise $30,000 to help cover:

• Medical expenses not covered by insurance

• Lost income during recovery

• Mobility equipment and support needs

• Everyday living expenses for her and her boys

This support will allow Darla to focus on healing, without the added stress of how everything will be paid for.
