Hello my name is Kelli Grosklos, a family friend of Darla Cox.

As for some of you that know Darla suffered a severe stroke sometime early Monday morning. She ended up being life flighted from MMH to OSU where she had emergency surgery. They were able to get 50% of the clot, which they consider a success. Her carotid arteries are both 70% blocked and this is where the strokes are originating from. She will be having surgery to place a stent in one when her brain has recovered from her first surgery. This will hopefully happen Tuesday, depending on MRI results. She has experienced paralysis on her right side and is unable to talk. Yesterday she was able to lift her right leg slightly off the bed and they did get her up into a chair. She has a long road to recovery and we ask that you continue to pray for her complete healing and her family during this very scary and difficult time.

I’m setting up this go fund me to help Darla and her three kids get through this difficult time. As we all know bills DONT STOP. Darla lives at home with her 18 year old daughter Jaden and we as a small community need to step up and help take the burden off of this young girl and her older siblings. Everyone that knows Darla knows she is the caretaker of the community. If she didn’t help watch and raise your kids she probably watched your grandkids, a family member or someone you even just know. If you need a volunteer she is there. She is always involved in 4-H, school activities, church, youth groups and simply just being there.
