Support Darkroom! A Short Film Directed by Alexandra Baiz

Donation protected

Hello! My name is Mikey Modugno and I'm Co-Producing a short film directed by Alexandra Baiz, titled Darkroom. We are looking to raise $2,250 to support the project. All of the funds will go towards providing the film reels and film development for the project, obtaining set decorations, paying for actors and providing food for the crew.

Contributors will have their name featured in the credits!

Synopsis & Reason:

After receiving an old camera with a used roll of film inside, Leo, a photo obsessed recluse, develops the photos in his darkroom to find that he isn’t where he thinks he is.

This story is inspired by a myth at GVSU that the photo darkroom used to be a cadaver lab for med students and the many stories about the ghosts that haunt the basement of Lake Superior Hall.

Set within the late 20th century, the style of this short film blurs between eras and will be reminiscent of The Silence of the Lambs (1991) and Suspiria (1977).

As the physical medium of film continues to fade, Darkroom aims to provide a reason to keep it alive and appreciate it for just a little longer.
