If you know Darin, you know his laugh, his thoughtfulness, and how genuinely kind he is. He’s one of those people who makes you feel better just by being around him. He makes everyone feel like family—and for me, he is family.

A couple years ago, Darin was diagnosed with ALS. It’s a cruel disease that slowly takes away the ability to move and speak-but it hasn’t taken his incredible spirit.

Today, Darin is fully immobile and can no longer talk. He uses his eyes to communicate through a computer and still finds ways to make us laugh. His amazing wife, Elizabeth, has been his full-time caregiver while raising their two young girls, Noelle and Addy. She’s the definition of strength and love—caring for her husband and holding their family together.
