My childhood friend Darien experienced a nearly fatal fall at the end of September but thankfully survived. However, he has already spent nearly a month in the hospital. Due to the nature of the fall, he has experienced severe injuries including a broken tibia/fibia, a broken wrist, and the amputation of his right foot. While he spends these next months learning how to walk again and in recovery, he will need financial assistance as he is no longer able to work at his manual labor job.
