My name is Luana, and I'm a student of Darice. In the aftermath of the devastating Lahaina fire, our community stands united, gathering strength from each other in the face of unimaginable loss. With both a heavy heart and a determined spirit, I bring forth this initiative – an opportunity for us to extend a lifeline to someone who has hesitated to ask for help amid so much suffering.

Darice, printing shop and art studio, repositories of her life's work spanning half a century, have been reduced to ashes. Darice is an angel who has shared her light with the community. Her art classes have nurtured young minds, fostering creativity, confidence, and empathy. She isn't merely an art teacher; she is a compassionate soul who provides unwavering support to those in need, offering solace through her art and her presence. In addition, Darice lost 1000 paintings, a lifetime of memories and stories has been cruelly erased by the flames. These paintings were a testament to her passion, her creativity, and her connection to her family's history.

Now, as Darice faces the daunting task of rebuilding, let's gather around her with the same care and support that she has offered us. Together, we can play a vital role in helping her rise from the ashes, rebuilding not only a studio but also the spirit that has touched countless lives.
