Daria is a friend of my daughter, and we need to help this family as much as we can. No family should have to face something like this alone. Any support no matter the amount means more than words can express.
Daria (Dasha as her mom calls her) is an incredible 12year old local Bucks County girl who goes to school with our children. She has a beautiful spirit and endless curiosity, but her body is fighting a devastating battle.
In June 2025, Daria was diagnosed with an aggressive spinal brain tumor. Just weeks before, she was full of life, an avid reader, a social sciences enthusiast, and a girl excited to start middle school and hopefully join the volleyball team.
Since then, she has endured multiple treatments, including two rounds of radiation with severe side effects. She is now wheelchair bound and unable to care for herself, and at times can barely speak. Yet in rare, good moments, her bright personality still shines through offering witty remarks that make everyone smile and even baking sweets with her one good arm.
Doctors have confirmed there are no remaining standard treatment options. At this time her family’s only hope is a clinical trial in children’s hospital of Seattle.
They are racing against time to arrive by March 15, 2026 for phase 1, where they will need to stay for at least two months. While the initial flight has been covered, the trial does not cover housing, transportation, daily living expenses, or future travel for additional phases of treatment.
Because Daria is wheelchair bound, the family must find ADA accessible housing near the hospital, which is often harder to secure and significantly more expensive. At the same time, they must continue paying rent and bills at home. Daria also requires constant care, limiting her parents’ ability to work during this time.
We are hoping to ease some of this financial burden so the family can focus on what matters most: giving Daria the best possible chance.
Thank you for helping this beautiful girl and her family during an unimaginable time. I am extremely thankful for our community and the support that we give to each other.
*The beneficiary for this fundraiser is Yeva Ventura who is Daria's mother. Her account will be added, and she will make funds transfers herself*
