On the morning of February 25th, Joselin was at work on the Eastern Shore when ICE agents detained him at the job site. His family didn't know what had happened until later that morning, when they realized he and his brother-in-law hadn't shown up and found the truck. By then, he was already gone.

Joselin came to the United States in 2017 and has spent years working hard to build a life for his family. He was the sole source of income for his household. He has been held in detention for over a week now, first in Salisbury where conditions were very difficult, and now in Louisiana, where he is sick with a fever and cough and not getting the medical care he needs. He has a court date in April.

His wife Daria is doing everything she can to hold the family together. His daughter Nahomy, 13, is in 7th grade and loves writing and dreaming about her future. She misses her father deeply and is struggling to focus at school. Their faith community at church has been a source of strength, but the family now faces months without any income and needs help covering rent, groceries, and other basic expenses.

These funds will go directly toward keeping Daria and Nahomy in their home while the family fights to bring Joselin back.

El 25 de febrero por la mañana, Joselin estaba trabajando en la Costa Este cuando agentes de ICE lo detuvieron en el lugar de trabajo. Su familia no supo lo que había pasado hasta más tarde esa mañana, cuando se dieron cuenta de que él y su cuñado no habían llegado al trabajo y encontraron la camioneta. Para ese entonces, él ya se había ido.

Joselin llegó a los Estados Unidos en 2017 y durante años trabajó duro para construir una vida para su familia. Era el único sustento económico del hogar. Lleva más de una semana detenido, primero en Salisbury donde las condiciones fueron muy difíciles, y ahora en Louisiana, donde está enfermo con fiebre y tos y no está recibiendo la atención médica que necesita. Tiene una audiencia en la corte en abril.

Su esposa Daria está haciendo todo lo que puede para mantener a la familia unida. Su hija Nahomy, de 13 años y en séptimo grado, ama la escritura y sueña con su futuro. Extraña profundamente a su papá y le está costando concentrarse en la escuela. Su comunidad de fe en la iglesia ha sido una fuente de fortaleza, pero la familia ahora enfrenta meses sin ningún ingreso y necesita ayuda para cubrir la renta, la comida y otros gastos básicos.

Estos fondos irán directamente a ayudar a Daria y Nahomy a mantenerse en su hogar mientras la familia lucha por el regreso de Joselin.
