After weeks of difficult conversations, tests, ER visits and more, my brother, Daren Hamlet, has officially been diagnosed with Acute myeloid Leukemia. If you’ve been with us, you know how difficult this is for our family considering the insurmountable loss we’ve experienced over the last few years. Daren is a fighter and currently giving this all he has, but with this diagnosis comes challenges neither he or our family were prepared for. Daren was involuntarily separated from employment just weeks prior to his diagnosis and thus has no health insurance. We are tasked as a family with figuring out his financials during this difficult time. We are asking for donations that will be used to support around the clock inpatient care for the next several weeks as we prepare for specialized treatment, in addition to helping him maintain necessities and everyday living expenses as he has 5 children, 2 of them being under 2 years old.
