My name is Darby, and I’m reaching out for support as I recover from a ruptured Achilles. I’m scheduled for surgery on August 21st, and until then, I’m unable to walk or work. Before my injury, I worked as a bartender and a universal employee, jobs that kept me on my feet and allowed me to support myself. I’ve been independent since I was 17, working non-stop—even through tough times like Covid. Asking for help is not easy for me, and it’s honestly a bit embarrassing, but this situation has left me with no other option.
This injury has completely changed my daily life. I’m managing everything on my own, which makes things even more challenging both physically and emotionally. I would work through the pain if I could, but I’m not allowed to even use the boot until after surgery. My biggest concerns right now are keeping up with rent, car payments, insurance, and making sure my pet’s needs are covered. Without the ability to work, these expenses are quickly becoming overwhelming, and I have no other support to rely on during this time.
Any help during this period would mean a lot. Your support will go directly toward my essential bills and help me stay afloat while I focus on recovery. Thank you for considering a donation or sharing my story. Every bit of encouragement and assistance truly makes a difference.
