Darby is the owner of Moonlit Petrichor, an eclectic soap and candle shop that has become a safe haven for so many in our community. Darby pours her heart into every product, from the handcrafted soaps and candles to the labels and local artisan magic that fills her store. Moonlit Petrichor is more than just a business, it's a one-woman show, and Darby is the creative force behind it all.

On January 24, 2026, a devastating fire broke out in her home where Moonlit Petrichor is located. The fire started in her upstairs apartment above the shop. Thankfully, no one was injured, including her beloved pets, but the damage was extensive. Many of Darby's personal belongings and business supplies were ruined, and she lost all of her newly made Valentine's Day soap inventory. This loss is especially hard as her business is her livelihood, and the timing before a major holiday couldn't be worse.

The funds raised here will help Darby get back on her feet, however she finds them most helpful. They will go toward living expenses while she recovers and regroups her business, and will help bridge the gap while she waits to see what insurance will reimburse.

Our goal is to ensure Darby does not have to rely on anything out of pocket during this difficult time. Darby has always been a huge support to our community. She is caring, loving, and would help anyone else without hesitation. This is our opportunity to give back to a member of our community with our whole hearts and support a local business owner who is making an impact every day.
