Stand with Dara: Hospitalized Since February

On February 23, 2025, she began experiencing severe abdominal pain and was unable retain any or liquids by February 28, 2025. She was rushed to the hospital, admitted immediately, and is still currently hospitalized due to pneumonia, a possible bowel obstruction (resulting from several past surgeries), critically abnormal lab results, and issues with blood pressure heart rate, among other complications. After being transferred twice to level 1 hospitals and undergoing numerous tests, it was discovered that she suffers from a rare condition called Nutcracker Syndrome, which essentially cuts off blood flow to her kidneys. This condition requires specialists and treatments and has triggered her other autoimmune diseases, further affecting the proper blood flow to her small intestines, necessitating surgery to address this issue.

Since then, has faced numerous complications and undergone various procedures on her stomach and body in an effort to give her a fighting chance at survival She has also suffered an unforeseen E. coli bloodstream infection, worsening her condition and delaying the critical surgery to place a GJ tube to address her malnutrition. Additionally, she still needs further surgeries and treatments for the newly diagnosed Nutcracker Syndrome and related health issues. Prior to these challenges, she worked diligently as a security guard and always went out of her way to help others. Unfortunately, she is now unable work and faces a long and difficult road to recovery.

She will not ask for help herself. However, with her consent I am reaching out on her behalf. As you can imagine, medical bills are piling up, and the risk of losing her home is real.
