On Sunday night, while driving to work, I was hit by a white car that forced my Corvette off the road and into a tree. I woke up in the hospital with a broken back, and my life changed in an instant. As a pesticide applicator in agriculture, I rely on my physical health to earn a living, but my injury has made it impossible for me to work. The uncertainty of my recovery means I don’t know when I’ll be able to return to my job, and the financial stress is overwhelming.
