Dar Detki (DiSalvo) has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer that has also spread to her lymph nodes. Not exactly the great news anyone wants to hear. We all know Dar to be a ‘warrior,’ and we know, she believes, that the body has the ability to heal. As a single, self-employed mother of three young adults, any financial assistance would be helpful. The father of her children died in 2019 of a sudden heart attack.
Dar has always fought for those who have needed her help over the years, and we, her sisters, are working on her behalf so she can seek the best treatment approach for her healing. As Dar continues down her path of healing, she will need to cut back on working for others to rest and recover from treatment. Dar will be going through chemotherapy, possibly surgery and or radiation. She has also chosen to seek treatment through the Gonzalez Project (intense nutrition), energy modalities such as cryotherapy, kinesiology, hyperbaric chamber, infrared red sauna, vitamin C drip, and any other modalities. As we all know, this holistic approach to treating cancer is not covered by insurance.
Her deepest desire is to have the financial support to pursue treating this disease with the best western medicine has to offer, as well as through various holistic approaches. Dar is no stranger to life’s challenges; she has overcome unthinkable abuse and obstacles and turned them into her life’s purpose and passion. Any financial support along with prayers will help her overcome this latest hurdle and help her on the road to healing. Her greatest fear is not being to assess recovery due to financial obstacles.
